Tracking indoors air quality is an inexpensive and powerful way to monitor the risk of people getting COVID-19, according to new research. In any given indoor environment, when excess carbon dioxide levels double, the risk of transmission also roughly doubles, scientists report.
Here is some of the basics which you can do at home:
- Improve home ventilation by opening doors and windows, especially when hosting non-household guests. Fans can be used to promote air circulation when needed.
- Practise safe distancing, wearing masks, and carrying out regular disinfection of high-touch points within the building.
